Answer with explanation:

Time taken by Molly to prepare the Report = 6 hours

Work done in 1 hour =\frac{1}{6}

Time taken by Jere to prepare the Report = 4 hours

Work done in 1 hour =\frac{1}{4}

Their Combined Work , is given by the equation

          =\frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{4}\\\\=\frac{6+4}{6\times 4}\\\\=\frac{10}{24}

Time it would take for Molly and Jere to prepare a report together is equal to

       =\frac{24}{10}\\\\=2.4

= 2.4 hours

Answer:

Total time taken by Molly and Jere to prepare a report together = 2.4 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Time taken by Molly to prepare a report = 6 hours

\text{So, one hour work of Molly = }\frac{1}{6}\text{ hours}

Time taken by Jere to prepare a report = 4 hours

\text{So, one hour work of Jere = }\frac{1}{4}\text{ hours}

Now, we need to calculate the total time taken by Molly and Jere to prepare a report together.

\text{Time taken by Molly and Jere to prepare a report together = }\frac{1}{6}+\frac{1}{4}\\\\\implies \frac{6+4}{24}\\\\\implies \frac{10}{24}\\\\\implies \text {Total time taken by Molly and Jere to prepare a report together = }\frac{24}{10} =2.4\text{ hours}

Hence, Total time taken by Molly and Jere to prepare a report together = 2.4 hours

Find the area of the regular polygon
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

A = 374.123 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

First, lets calculate the perimeter:

Perimeter (p) = side length (s) * number of sides (n)

p = s * n

p = 12 * 6

p = 72

Next, lets find the apothem, which is the shortest length from any side to the middle. It's like the radius in a circle, but more complicated.

Apothem (a) = side length (s) / ( 2 * tan(180/number of sides (n)) )

a = \frac{s}{2 * tan (\frac{180}{n} )}

a = \frac{12}{2 * tan (\frac{180}{6} )}

a = \frac{12}{2 * \frac{\sqrt{3} }{3}}

a = \frac{12}{\frac{2\sqrt{3} }{3}}

a = \frac{12*3}{2\sqrt{3}}

a = \frac{6*3}{\sqrt{3}}

a = \frac{18}{\sqrt{3}}

Now, finally, to find the area of a regular polygon, we use the following equation:

Area (A) = ( apothem (a) * perimeter (p) ) / 2

A = \frac{a * p}{2}

A = \frac{\frac{18}{\sqrt{3} }  * 72}{2}

A = \frac{18}{\sqrt{3}}  * 36

A = \frac{640}{\sqrt{3}}

Turning into a decimal:

A = 374.123 ft ^2

Two trains leave the station at the same time, one heading west and the other east. The westbound train travels at 95 miles per
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

2.2 hr

Step-by-step explanation:

Let t = time

95t = distance of westbound train

105t = distance of eastbound train

95t + 105t = 440

200t = 440

t = 2.2 hr.

Sort these in either Combination or Permutation PLEASE HELP!!!! 100 POINTS
balandron [24]
A permutation is where there is a difference in positions where the things will be selected into (order matters). Combination is where order doesn’t matter. I have sorted them but I am not sure about the starting line up one. If the players are selected into specific positions then it would be a permutation.
