So
use elimintation
multily second equation by 2
2x-6y=-6
add to first equation

2x-2x+7y-6y=10-6
y=4
subsitute
x-3(4)=-3
x-12=-3
add 12 to both sdies
x=9

x=9
y=4

-2x + 7y = 10 ⇒ -2x + 7y = 10
   x - 3y = -3   ⇒ <u>-2x + 6y = 6  </u>
                                      y = 4
                         -2x + 7(4) = 10
                           -2x + 28 = 10
                          <u>         -28   -28</u>
                                   <u>-2x</u> = <u>-18</u>
                                    -2      -2
                                       x = 9
                                  (x, y) = (9, 4)

Jollibee employs a total of 10 cashiers and 15 kitchen crews. The manager selects a team of 2 cashiers and
Airida [17]

Answer:

The manager can select a team in 61425 ways.

Step-by-step explanation:

The order in which the cashiers and the kitchen crews are selected is not important. So we use the combinations formula to solve this question.

Combinations formula:

C_{n,x} is the number of different combinations of x objects from a set of n elements, given by the following formula.

C_{n,x} = \frac{n!}{x!(n-x)!}

In how many ways can the manager select a team?

2 cashiers from a set of 10.

4 kitchen crews from a set of 15. So

T = C_{10,2}*C_{15,4} = \frac{10!}{2!(10-2)!}*\frac{15!}{4!(15-4)!} = 45*1365 = 61425

The manager can select a team in 61425 ways.

Please help me figure out the median.
atroni [7]
What you would do is start crossing the highest and lowest values off on both sides of the chart until you had one or two remaining.
Once that is done, you'll be able to determine the median.

The median in this case is 2.

Hope this helps!

nata0808 [166]

Answer:

−35.713332 ; 0.313332

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Sample size, n1 = 11

Sample mean, x1 = 79

Standard deviation, s1 = 18.25

Sample size, n2 = 18

Sample mean, x2 = 96.70

Standard deviation, s2 = 20.25

df = n1 + n2 - 2 ; 11 + 18 - 2 = 27

Tcritical = T0.01, 27 = 2.473

S = sqrt[(s1²/n1) + (s2²/n2)]

S = sqrt[(18.25^2 / 11) + (20.25^2 / 18)]

S = 7.284

(μ1 - μ2) = (x1 - x2) ± Tcritical * S

(μ1 - μ2) = (79 - 96.70) ± 2.473*7.284

(μ1 - μ2) = - 17.7 ± 18.013332

-17.7 - 18.013332 ; - 17.7 + 18.013332

−35.713332 ; 0.313332
