Answer:

Yellow: 5x+11=51

x=8

Step-by-step explanation:

She paid 51 dollars in total, so the 51 must be the equation answer. That limits it down to Yellow or Red. It cant be red as she paid 5 dollars per hour, meaning each hour a new 5 will be added to the question. 11 in the equation is just a starting rate that is added on and is never duplicated.

idk if you need this but if you multiply 5 by 8, plugging that into the questions it equals 51=51 so x is 8

There are 10 yellow, 6 green, 9 orange, and 5 red cards in a stack of cards turned facedown. Once a card is selected, it is not
Iteru [2.4K]
10 yellow cards over 30 = 10/30
second selection : 9 yellow cards over 29 = 9/29

10/30 * 9/29 = 1/3 * 9 /29 = 3/29 = 0.1034 = 10.34%

What is 30% of $40 and I don’t know what else to type
miskamm [114]

Answer:

30% of $40 would be $12

Step-by-step explanation:

To figure this out you can do cross multiplication. Take 30 over 100 like a fraction (30/100) and then that equals x over 40 (x/40), x being 30% of $40. then you would multiply diagonally. 100 times X and 30 times 40 getting you to 100x = 1200 then isolate the variable so there is no numbers with it, meaning you have to divide both sides by 100. 100x divided by 100= X and 1200 divided by 100= 12. So X=12, meaning 30% of $40 is $12.

For number 8 how do you factor the common factor out of the expression
kari74 [83]
You do the same as with number you take out the largest allowed amount. For example for 8 you could take out x^2 and y^2 along with the normal factors, So once you factor everything out you would be left with 27x^2y^2(y^3-3x)
