(Please HELP) A falcon flies 800,000 meters in 4 hours. Use the formula d = rt, where d represents distance, r represents rate,

and t represents time, to answer the following questions. Show
your work.

Part A: Rearrange the distance formula, d = rt, to solve for rate.

Part B: Find the falcon's rate in meters per hour.

Part C: Find the falcon's rate in kilometers per hour.

Part D: Which unit, meters, or kilometers, makes more sense to use in this scenario, and why?

Answer:

A.\ r = \frac{d}{t}

B.\ r = 200,000m/h

C.\ r = 200\ km/h

D. Kilometres makes more sense

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

d = rt

d = 800,000 metres

t = 4 hours

Required

Answer Part A to D

A. Rearrange the formula;

Here, we simply divide both sides by t

d = rt

\frac{d}{t} = \frac{rt}{t}

\frac{d}{t} = r

Reorder

r = \frac{d}{t}

B. Solve for r in metres per hour

Here, d = 800,000 metres and t = 4 hours

r = \frac{d}{t} becomes

r = \frac{800,000m}{4h}

r = 200,000m/h

C. Solve for r in kilometre per hous

We start by converting d = 800,000 metres to kilometres

If 1 metre = 0.001 kilometre, then

800,000 metres = 800,000 * 0.01 kilometre

800,000 metres = 800 kilometre

So, d = 800\ kilometres and h = 4 hours

r = \frac{d}{t} becomes

r = \frac{800\ km}{4\ h}

r = 200\ km/h

D. Which unit makes more sense

As a standard, when calculating speed or velocity, metres is used viz a viz seconds while kilometres is used along with hours;

Since, the first unit (metres) is best used with seconds and the second unit (kilometre) is best used with hours, it's safe to conclude that kilometres makes more sense

Suppose triangle TIP and triangle TOP are isosceles triangles. Also suppose that TI=5, PI=7, and PO=11. What are all the possibl
Ede4ka [16]
<h3>Two answers: 5, 7</h3>

====================================================

Explanation:

A drawing may be helpful to see what's going on. Check out the diagram below. This is one way of drawing out the two triangles. The locations of the points don't really matter, and neither does the the orientation of how you rotate things. What does matter is we have the right points connected to form the segments mentioned.

----------

For now, focus on triangle TIP only. In order to have this be isosceles, we must make TP = 5 or TP = 7.

If TP = 5, then it's the same length as TI.

If TP = 7, then it's the same length as PI.

In either case, we have exactly two sides the same length (the other side different) which is what it means for a triangle to be isosceles.

----------

Let's consider triangle TOP. For it to be isosceles, we must have two sides the same length. We already locked in TP to be either 5 or 7 in the previous section above. So there's no way that TP could be 11 units long to match up with PO = 11.

If TP = 5, then OT must also be 5 units long so that triangle TOP is isosceles.

If TP = 7, then OT = 7 for similar reasoning.

Either way, TP only has two choices on what it could be.

----------

In short, we basically just write the first two values given to us to get the two triangles to be isosceles. We can't use TP = 11 as it would make triangle TIP to be scalene (all sides are different lengths).

Domain is the x-values.

Scenarios where positive integers are appropriately used for the domain of the function:

(1) The value of x is 25

(2) The measure of ∠CBD is 60°

Explanation:

(1) The given two angles are vertical angles. Since, vertical angles are equal, we can add the two angles to determine the value of x.

Thus, we have,

5x+15=6x-10

Subtracting 5x from both sides, we have

15=x-10

Adding 10 to both sides , we have,

25=x

Thus, the value of x is 25.

(2) It is given that the measure of ∠ABC = (x+7)° and ∠CBD = (2x+14)°

Since, these two angles are supplementary angles and supplementary angles add upto 90°

Thus, we have,

2x+14+x+7=90

Simplifying, we get,

3x+21=90

       3x=69

         x=23

Thus, substituting the value of x in ∠CBD = (2x+14)° to determine its value.

2x+14=2(23)+14=46+14=60

Thus, the measure of ∠CBD is 60°
