The total value of an investment was $305.33 after $240 was invested for 10 years compounded monthly. Find the interest interest
Westkost [7]

Answer:

Interest rate = 2.41%

Step-by-step explanation:

The total value of an investment was $305.33 after $240 was invested for 10 years compounded monthly. Find the interest rate.

The formula to calculate the Interest rate for a Compound Interest is given as:

Solving for rate r as a decimal

r = n[(A/P)^1/nt - 1]

r = 12 × [(305.33/240.00)^1/(12)(10) - 1]

r = 0.0240996

Then convert r to R as a percentage

R = r * 100

R = 0.0240996 * 100

R = 2.41%/year

Therefore, the Interest rate = 2.41%

The table represents a linear function. The rate of change between the points (–5, 10) and (–4, 5) is –5. What is the rate of ch
vladimir1956 [14]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

The rate of change between the points (–3, 0) and (–2, –5) is:

                          -5

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

The rate of change between the points (-5, 10) and (-4, 5) is -5.

Now we are asked to find the average rate of change between (-3,0) and (-2,-5)

We know that the average rate of change between two points (a,b) and (c,d) is calculated by the formula:

  Rate\ of\ change=\dfrac{d-b}{c-a}

Here we have:

(a,b)=(-3,0) and (c,d)=(-2,-5)

Hence, the average rate of change is:

 Rate\ of\ change=\dfrac{-5-0}{-2-(-3)}\\\\\\Rate\ of\ change=\dfrac{-5}{-2+3}\\\\\\Rate\ of\ change=-5

Also, we know that for any linear function the average rate of change is same between any two points.

           Hence, the answer is:

                        -5

The sum of two consecutive multiples of 4 is 36 . find the multiples ???
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

The numbers are 16 and 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the multiples be: x+4 and x+8

Sum is 36, so we can make an equation:

x+4+x+8=36

2x=36-12

x=12

The numbers are 12+4=16, 12+8=20.

Hope this answer helped you! If so, please leave a rating and let me know if I was correct. (Hopefully Brainliest, but totally up to you.) Have a great day!
