First you should find the area of the rectangle in the middle.
A: 9 x 6 = 54
Then you can find the area of the triangle on the right.
A: 6 x 5 = 30/2 = 15
Then you can do the triangle on the right.
11-9 = 2
A: 2 x 6 = 12/2 = 6
Then you can add it all together.
15 + 6 + 54 = 74
So the area of the irregular shape is 74.

I hope this helps!

Well i would look at the trapezium on the left (i would forget the first dashed line) and use 1/2 a + b × h to work out the area of a trapezium. So you would do 1/2 of 9+11 × 6 which is 60cm^2.
Then I would work out the area of the triangle which is 1/2 b×h. You would do 1/2 of 6×5 which is 15cm^2.
Add 60 and 15 and you get 75cm^2
Ok looking at the other persons I think I did it wrong

sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

90 min or 1hr 30 mins

Step-by-step explanation:

Even though the options to choose from are not given in this question we can try and lay our hand on the most likely equation for the number of minutes Jack reads his book.

firstly on a daily Jack reads a total of = 8+10 = 18 mins

He attends school from Mon- fri = 5 days

Now on a weekly basis jack reads = 5*18

in other words, the equation is simply the number of days times the time spent to read his book per day

hence this is = 90 min or 1hr 30 mins
