Estimate how many tennis balls can fit into a small room

Mathematics

a tennis ball has a diameter of about 2.5 inches

so volume of a tennis ball is: 4/3 x pi x r^3 = 8.2 cubic inches ( estimating you could say 8 cubic inches

1 cubic foot = 1728 cubic inches

so you could fit 1728/8 = 216 tennis balls in a cubic foot.( estimated)

you would then need to calculate the volume of the room

lets say a small room is 9 foo by 9 foot by 8 feet high

9 x 9 x 8 = 648 square feet

now multiply the 216 by the square feet of the room

216 * 648 = 139,968tennis balls

now because they are round, there will be empty space around them

so you could estimate about 139,000 tennis balls would fit I a 9 x 9 room that is 8 feet high.

You didn't give the dimensions of the room, but this gives you the idea of how to estimate

Determine the length of GH. Round to the nearest tenth.
3.9 cm
G
52
642
H
sesenic [268]

Answer:

|GH| = 5,7 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

To know |GH|, you first need to find the length of |GD|.

We can calculate |GD| by;

cosG = |GC| / |GD|

<=> |GD| = |GC| / cosG

=> |GD| = 3,9 cm/ 0,62 = 6,33 cm

We now can easily calculate |GH| with the sinus of angle D;

sinD = |GH| / |GD|

<=> |GH| = sinD.|GD|

=> |GH| = 0,899.6,33 cm = 5,694 cm => 5,7 cm

I hope i did not make a mistake ...

If the rejection region is +1.10, what will be your decision if the z computed value is 2.34
IRINA_888 [86]

The decision when the z value is within the rejection region is that we'll have to reject the null hypothesis.

What is a rejection region?

It should be noted that the rejection region is also known as the critical region. It is the set of values where the null hypothesis is rejected.

When the observed test statistic is in the rejection region, we'll have to reject the null hypothesis and then accept rte alternative hypothesis.
