2 x 3 = 6 x 10 = 60
<em>Assuming that you are using the same rule:
</em><em>4 x 9 x 10 = 360
</em>The value of z when x = 4 and y = 9 is 360. Hope this helped!

When it says z varies jointly, it means z=kxy where k is constant.
x*y=6
60=k*6
k=10

Now plug in the new given values for x and y
z=10*4*9
z=40*9
z=360

Final answer: 360

Graph the following {(x,y): x + y = 5}
Whitepunk [10]

For this case we have the following function:

y = 5-x

We look for the points of intersection with the x axis, doing y = 0

0 = 5-x\\x = 5

We look for the points of intersection with the y axis, doing x = 0

y = 5-0\\y = 5

We can also observe that the slope is -1.

y = mx + b\\y = -x + 5

Translate the sentence into an equation.
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

7x + 6 = 3

If you want to continue to find the value of x, do this:

7x + 6 - 6 = 3 - 6 = -3, or

7x = -3, or

x = -3/7

An air traffic controller is tracking two planes. To start, Plane A is at an altitude of 3427 feet and Plane B is at an altitude
jeyben [28]
3427 + 65.75s = 5000 + 35.5s
65.75s - 35.5s = 5000 - 3427
30.25s = 1573
s = 1573 / 30.25
s = 52 seconds <== they are the same at 52 seconds

3427 + 65.75(52) = 6846
5000 + 35.5(52) = 6846

and their altitude is 6846 <===

The Moores family paid $6 more for skate rentals than the Cotters did. Together the two families paid $30 for skate rentals. How
Mademuasel [1]
<span>Moores Family Paid = 6 dollars mores for skate rental than the cotters did.
30 dollars = the total amount they paid for skate rentals.
Let Family Moore have the variable X
Let the Family Cotters have the variable Y
=> x = y + 6
=> y = 30 – 6 / 2
First, let’s solve the Y
=> Y – 30 – 6 / 2
=> Y = 24 / 2
=> y = 12
Now, let’s solve for X
=> X = y + 6
=> x = 12 + 6
=> X = 18
