As history changes, and people/nations evolve, it becomes necessary for them to be independent of any other country/power on which they relied. They feel the need to break those connections that bound them, and to finally emerge as a country of its own, a country which doesn't need to count on others in order to thrive and prosper. God has given everyone equal rights, and thus no country has more rights than any other. This newly founded country will become respectable through its own effort, and not through the help/or the dominion of another country. The Americans felt impelled to separate from their mother country, Britain, and eventually create a dream of their own.
All men are equal - God has given them those unalienable rights. The people are those who make decisions - there is a Government, but if it becomes destructive, it is the people who decide how to organize the country.
Jefferson talks about the downsides of being a British colony, and thus creates a chance for the Americans to create a country in which these rules needn't be followed so blindly. They are free to do what they wish, because it is their God-given right.

Coach Johnson knows that this system of equations represents the number of tickets sold before the tournament, x, and at the doo
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

This solution is incorrect.

Explanation:

We will use the substitution method to solve this equation.

  • The first step is to isolate one of the unknowns to find the solution, in which case we will isolate the x.

Then:

x - y = 75

x = 75 + y

  • In the second step, we will replace the x found in the second equation to solve the first equation.

x + y = 743

(75 + y) + y = 743

75 + 2y = 743

2y = 743 - 75

2y = 668

y = 668/2

y = 334

  • In the third step, we substitute the value of y in any of the questions to find the final result:

x - y = 75

x - 334 = 75

x = 75 + 334

x = 409

Therefore, if x represents the number of tickets sold before the tournament, and y represents the number of tickets sold at the door, and as the values of x = 409 and y = 334, we can conclude that the assistant made a mistake and inverted the values.

Read the sentence.
Papessa [141]

Answer:

The correct answer is "two-thirds".

Explanation:

In English, we use "hyphen" (punctuation mark) to join two or more words. These should not be confused with "dashes", who are a longer punctuation mark and have other uses like separate explanatory phrases.

Hyphens are used to join words or terms to avoid confusions and they are written with no space between them and the words. In some cases, they are used to preserve the text's clarity: when adding a prefix (great-grandmother) or when the final and initial letters coincide (co-operate).

In this specific case, "two-thirds" is a fraction, so the hyphens are used to let know the relation between these two words instead of reading them as separated numbers.
