Point A is the midpoint of CT which means the ratio of CA:CT would be 1:2.
To find CT, you need to find the distance of CA then applies 2 times of the distance to the point C

Xca= Xa-Xc= 1- (-2)= 3
Yca= Ya- Yc= -3 -5= -8

Xt= Xc + 2* Xca= -2 + 2*3= 4
Yt= Yc + 2* Yca= 5 + 2*-8= -11
T(Xt, Yt)= T(4, -11)

The coordinate for point T would be (4, -11)

Lets say you have 5 apples, but the you give away 3 of them.
To work how many you have left you take away.
5-3 = 2

Lets apply this with fractions now.
You have 9/7 yard, but then you give away 7/20 yard.
Now you take them away:
9/7 minus 7/20 = 131/140

Hope this helps :)

Matteo is adjusting a satellite because he finds it is not focusing the incoming radio waves perfectly. The shape of his satelli
natka813 [3]

Answer: (1.5, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The shape of his satellite can be modeled by y^2=6x where x and y are modeled in inches.

Now,the given equation y^2=6x is a equation of parabola.

Here, coefficient of x is positive, hence the parabola opens rightwards.

On comparing this equation with standard equation x^2=4mx, we get

4m=6\\\Rightarrow\ m=\frac{6}{4}=1.5

In standard equation, coordinates of focus=(m,0)

Thus for given equation coordinates of focus=(1.5,0)

HELP ON THIS PROBLEM!!<br><br> Solve the following 0deg&lt; x&lt; 360deg: cos x= cos 2x
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

x=0^\circ,120^\circ,240^\circ,360^\circ

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Use identities to set the equation up as a quadratic</u>

\cos x=\cos 2x;\:0^\circ \leq x \leq 360^\circ\\\\\cos x=2\cos^2 x-1\\\\0=2\cos^2 x-\cos x-1

<u>Make the substitution u=cos(x) and solve the quadratic</u>

<u />0=2u^2-u-1\\\\0=(2u+1)(u-1)

\displaystyle 0=2u+1\\\\0=2\cos x+1\\\\-1=2\cos x\\\\-\frac{1}{2}=\cos x\\\\120^\circ,240^\circ=x

0=u-1\\\\0=\cos x-1\\\\1=\cos x\\\\0^\circ,360^\circ=x

Hence, x=0^\circ,120^\circ,240^\circ,360^\circ

The graph shows the distance, y, in miles, of a moving motorboat from an island for a certain amount of time, x, in hours:
lisabon 2012 [21]

Answer:  The speed of the motorboat is 70 miles per hour

Step-by-step explanation:  Subtract the initial distance, 35, from the distance at any given time, then divide the remainder by the hours.

For example, at 2 hours, the distance shown on the graph is 175 miles

Subtract: 175 -35 = 140.  Then divide 140/2 = 70

At 4 hours, the distance shown is 315 miles.

Subtract: 315 - 35 = 280. Then divide  280/4 = 70

70 mph is the speed.
