The population growth will be modeled using exponential growth:

f(x)=a(b)^t

where:

a=initial value

b=growth rate

thus plugging in the values we get:

f(x)=1.3(1.04)^t

thus the population after 10 years will be:

f(x)=1.3(1.04)^10

f(x)=1.9243

thus the population in 10 years will be:

1.9243 million

Hope this helped!

If a Play Station was bought for $450 after a 10% discount what was the original price of the Play Station?
Gemiola [76]
If it was bought after 10% discount, it means it was bought at 90% of the original price:
90% = $450
1% = $5
100% = $5 x 100
100% = $500

The original price of the Play Station was $500.

What is the slope of the line through (-5,-10) and(-1, 5)?
Mila [183]

Answer: The slope is 15/4.

Step-by-step explanation:

M = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

M = (5 - (-10))/(-1 - (-5))

M = (5 + 10)/(-1 + 5)

M = 15/4
