Well to find this line you want to know the slope and the y-intercept. So find the slope:

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

12-2 = 10

2-7 = -5

10/-5 = 2/-1

-2 is your slope

Now for y-intercept, find the point closest to the y-axis. That is the point (2,12), and if your slope is negative 2, that means that if you go up 4 and left 2, you should find the y-intercept:

12 + 4 = 16

16 is your y-intercept

So now lets write this out in an equation:

y = mx + b

m = slope

b = y-intercept

y = -2x + 16

there you go! hope this helps!

To find the slope of this line we must use the formula m=y2-y1/x2-x1 to write an equation with the 2 points.

12-2/2-7=10/-5

Now we simplify the slope since this is not the simplest form the fraction can get.

10/-5

2/-1

m=-2

From here we can substitute our available info to another form called point-slope form.

The formula for point-slope is y-y1=m(x-x1)

m= slope

y1 and x1= x value and y value of one point.

We are going to use the point 7,2 for this equation

y-2=-2(x-7) This is our final equation.

Hope this helps!

Find the perimeter or cm
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

The perimeter is 22.

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter formula (it sometimes varies) is 2(b+h)

b being base (in this example, 6)

h being height (in this example, 5)

So now, with substitution, we are left with:

2(6+5)

Which simplifies down to:

2(11)

22
