Let, the original price of saw be p.

Now, according to given information,

28 = 87.5% of original price

\begin{array}{l}{28 \times 100=87.5 \times p} \\ {P=\frac{2800}{87.5}}\end{array}

p = 32

Hence, the original price of the saw was $32.
