The main way in which geographic and economic differences between regions led to increased sectionalism in the US was that the South was entirely agrarian and depended heavily on slavery, while the North despised the institution of slavery. This eventually led to the Civil War.

Kobotan [32]

Answer:

a) True

Explanation:

C.J. Faulkner was an American lawyer and plantation owner from Martinsburg, Virginia, who served as the ambassador to France under James Buchanan.

When Abraham Lincoln was elected in 1861, Faulkner was removed from his position and returned to Washington D.C. He was then arrested on a charge of negotiating arms sales for the Confederacy while in France.

He was allowed to have his case heard in Richmond, and was eventually released. He joined the Confederate army and after the war ended, he continued to practice law. He never swore allegiance to the Union.

Many civil rights: free speech, press, worship, the right to trial, and the right to own private property. Much like the United States, but keep in mind very little has been done to make sure all of those examples are followed.

Here is your goal for this assignment:
kirill115 [55]

In order to write an essay that explains your position on Seward's proposal and justify your support or opposition to the purchase, it is necessary to carry out in-depth research on the subject and form your own ideas.

Seward's proposal

The purchase of Alaska was proposed by Governor William Seward, and was approved in Congress by only one vote, which characterizes that this was an unpopular proposal, since Alaska was seen only as an icy desert that would not be advantageous to the country.

Therefore, despite being an initially discredited territory, in 1968 oil was discovered in the State of Alaska, and currently this corresponds to the largest oil producer in the United States.

This is a matter of creativity and should only be written by you, but through in-depth research you are able to write your own speech.
