Skill-related fitness is very modestly heritable. Being good at a certain skill is mostly due to sheer amount of practice and just devoting a lot of time, hours, and concentration towards one subject. While some people certainly exhibit greater talent due to a higher heritability quotient, this is not necessarily the case.

While these inherited traits have an impact on skill-related fitness, the extent of their influence is difficult to measure.
