Yea the person who answered before me is correct you can buy 18 cheesy tots you take 23 minus $3.49 which gives you 19.51 then you divide 19.51 by 1.07 which gives you 18 with some change but in total it would be 18.

Use the definition of continuity and the properties of limits to show that the function f(x)=x sqrtx/(x-6)^2 is continuous at x
qaws [65]

Answer:

The function is  continuous at  x = 36

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

      The  function is f(x)  =  x *  \sqrt{ \frac{x}{ (x-6) ^2 }  }

       The  point at which continuity is tested is  x =  1

Now from the definition  of continuity ,

   At function is continuous at  k if  only

       \lim_{x \to k}f(x)  =  f(k)

So

      \lim_{x \to 36}f(x)  =  \lim_{n \to 36}[x *  \sqrt{ \frac{x}{ (x-6) ^2 }  }]

                            = 36 *  \sqrt{ \frac{36}{ (36-6) ^2 }  }

                             = 7.2

Now

     f(36) = 36  *  \sqrt{ \frac{36}{ (36-6) ^2 }  }

     f(36) = 7.2

So  the given function is continuous at  x =  36

because

          \lim_{x \to 36}f(x)  =  f(36)

On a coordinate plane, a curved line with a minimum value of (negative 1, negative 2), crosses the x-axis at (negative 2, 0) and
Oduvanchick [21]

Given:

A curved line with a minimum value of (-1,-2), crosses the x-axis at (-2, 0) and the y-axis at (0, 0).

To find:

x-intercepts of the function.

Solution:

The curved line passes through the points (-1,-2), (-2,0) and (0,0).

We know that, y-coordinate is zero at x-intercepts.

From the given points, only (-2,0) and (0,0) have 0 as y-coordinate.

So, x-intercepts of the function are (-2,0) and (0,0).

Therefore, the correct options are 1 and 3.
