3p^2 - 7p -40

Factor -7 out of -7p and rewrite -7 as -15 +8:

3p^2 +(-15 +8)p -40

Apply distributive property:

3p^2 -15p +8p -40

Group the first two terms and the last two terms:

(3p^2 -15p) + (8p-40)

Factor out the GCF from each group:

3p(p-5) + 8(p-5)

Factor the polynomial by factoring out the GCF (p-5)

(p-5)(3p+8)

Ok so 3x-40=-120 and the middle number is -7 so the two numbers will have to multiply to -120 and add to - so those numbers would be 15 and-8 so then we will factor by parts so 3p^2+15p-8p-40 then section into brackets (3p^2+15p)(-8p-40) out of the first bracket you can factor out 3p and on the second bracket you can factor out -8 so you are left with 3p(p+5)-8(p+5) the combine 3p and -8 so (3p-8)(p+5)

500 = 25x + 150
500 - 150 = 25x
350 = 25x
x = 14
Triangular ends: 14 * 10 = 140

What is it then please
nalin [4]

a) because the denominators are the same add the numerators:

1 1/5 + 3 2/5 = 4 3/5

b) rewrite the fractions to have a common denominator:

1/2 = 3/6

1/3 = 2/6

Now subtract:

4 3/6 - 1 2/6 = 3 1/6

Are 0,2,5 closed or not under addition
kvasek [131]

Answer:

There are closed addition.

Step-by-step explanation:

Closure (mathematics) ... For example, the positive integers are closed under addition, but not under subtraction: is not a positive integer even though both 1 and 2 are positive integers. Another example is the set containing only zero, which is closed under addition, subtraction and multiplication.

So, 0,2,5 are closed addition

The general equation for depreciation is given by y = A(1 – r)t, where y = current value, A = original cost, r = rate of depreci
irina1246 [14]
Analyzing the given values and the given equation, we have the following:
A = $25,000
r = 0.11
t = 6

The equation has the form:
y = A (1-r)^t
Plugging in the given values into the equation,
y = $25,000 (1 - 0.11)^6
y = $25,000 (0.89)^6

Therefore, the answer is
A. y=25,000(.89)^6
