The theme was how Martin Luther King Jr,(with his perseverance) kept working to make equality rights for one and all, and how he founded non-violent protests to make his dreams and the dreams of every African American's dreams come true and stop segregation laws.

<u>In his Nobel Prize acceptance speech (1964), Martin Luther King focused on the importance of peace when fighting for equality. He talked about how crucial it was "to overcome violence and oppression without resorting to oppression and violence". </u>He donated $54,123 in prize money to the cause he believed in because he was aware that there were still a lot to be done to further the civil rights movement and end racial inequality in the United States.
