Answer:

The correct answer is option A

Explanation:

In the above situation where Hannah wants to support her claim about freedom of speech on internet forums. She is afraid that if the protection will turn into censorship of content which will completely ruin the purpose of internet, thus taking away freedom of speech.

The claim that internet providers are only supposed to provide internet services and should have nothing to do with the kind of content they are provided with can favor her argument.

Answer:

A). The internet is one place people can speak their minds without fear.

D). It is impossible to know whether the people we entrust with the job of judging online content will act in our best interests.

Explanation:

To persuade or convince the audience to believe in your ideas, substantiating the claims becomes a must as it establishes the credibility of the author that further aids to convince the audience. In the given question, Hannah could substantiate her claim that protection must not convert into censorship as it would crumble the people's right to speech. The first option proposes a description regarding the role of internet in our life as it is the common platform where people can express themselves while option fourth interrogates the credibility of the authorities that may turn protection into censorship as it may not be in the interests of the people. Thus, option A and D both backs Hannah's claim.

The literary period witnessed newspapers which were once branded as crony
Kisachek [45]

Answer:

EDSA period

Explanation:

EDSA is the other name of the 'People Power Revolution' that took place in the Philippine in 1986. The revolution primarily aimed to non-violently encourage a civil resistance against the authoritarian violence which eventually led to the tumbling of President of the state, Ferdinand Marcos, and the re-establishment of democracy. Literature during this period and after this underwent a major transformation. It is throughout this period newspapers were marked as crony as they helped a great deal in making this overturn possible.

Which sentence is punctuated correctly?
Vaselesa [24]
The correct answer is actually D), not A.
Although these are independent clauses indeed, the punctuation in A,B, and C is not correct.
Before 'however' there needs to be a semicolon (;). And after however, you have to put a comma. Therefore D is the correct answer.
After a comma there needs to be a pause in reading. Does A sound correct to you if you make a pause before 'however' and not after it? Of course not.
