Angle QPS is an inscribed angle.  Arc QS is the intercepted arc of that angle.  The rule is that the intercepted arc is twice its angle measure.  P measures 20 degrees, so arc QS measures 40 degrees.  It just so happens that angle QTS is ALSO an inscribed angle intercepting arc QS.  So angle QTS measures the same as angle P, 20 degrees.  That's a.  For b., we already stated the rule and figured out that minor arc QS is 40 degrees.  For c., major arc QTS is 360 (the measure around the outside of a circle...EVERY circle in the world) minus the minor arc of 40.  So major arc QTS measures 360 - 40 which is 320 degrees.  There you go!

Solve 2(4x + 5) > 7x + 20.
choli [55]
2(4x+5)>7x+20  perform indicated multiplication on left side

8x+10>7x+20  subtract 7x from both sides

x+10>20  subtract 10 from both sides

x>10

or in interval notation, x=(10, +oo)

6x+3&lt;7-2x<br> I’m not sure if I’m doing it right so an explanation would be nice
enot [183]

Answer:

x<0.5

Step-by-step explanation:

this is just like simplifiying equations if you've done that before

first you want to isolate the variable, so you want to combine the values of x (in this case it's 6x and the -2x)

so you can either add 2x to both sides or you can subtract 6x on both sides, in this case ill just add 2x to both sides.

Then you subtract 3 from both sides to get 8x<4

after you get that, you want to divide both sides by 8, and you generally want to do that step last, it makes it easier, and you get x<1/2 or 0.5

just a reminder that with working with inequalities, you want to remember to flip the direction the inequality is whenever you divide by a negative number

If triangle ABC Is dilated by a scale factor of 2.5 with a center of dilation at vortex be how does the area of A’B’C compared w
arlik [135]

Answer:

The area is 6.25 times greater.

Step-by-step explanation:

Each side of the triangle of the dilated triangle will be 2.5 times the length of the original sides.

The area will increase to 2.5^2 = 6.25 times.

Jake made a wooden cone with a diameter of 6 inches and a height of 4.5 inches. What is the volume of this cone?
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

42.42in³

Step-by-step explanation:

This problem bothers on the mensuration of solid shapes, a cone

Step one

We know that the volume of a cone is

V= 1/3πr²h

Given data

Diameter d= 6 inches

Radius r= diameter/2= 6/2= 3 inches

Height h = 4.5 inches

Step two

Substituting our given data we have

Volume = 1/3*3.142*3²*4.5

V= 1/3*3.142*9*4.5

V= 127.251/3

V= 42.42in³
