Answer:

[f(-5)-f(-3)]/[-2]

Step-by-step explanation:

I don't know your quadratic but all you need to do evaluate

[f(-5)-f(-3)] divided by [-5-(-3)]

simplifying the denominator:

[f(-5)-f(-3)] divided by -2

So you need to find f(-5), this means replace x with -5

f(-3) means to replace x with -3

After you find those two answers subtract what you got for the pluggin in of -3 from the pluggin in of -5

After that subtraction divide by -2

During the basketball game Josh Devon and Marco are in the following positions Josh is 16 feet from Devon and Devon is 5 1/3 fee
maks197457 [2]
First off, actually including the diagram is required if you intend on getting an answer. Thankfully, someone else has posed this question on another site and actually included the diagram. I will first describe the diagram, and then solve the problem.
And the good news is ....
The triangle in the diagram is impossible.

The diagram I found has Josh, Devon, and Marco standing creating an isosceles triangle with Josh and Devon forming the base. And with the given measurements, the illustrated triangle is impossible since in order for form an isosceles triangle with a base of 16 feet (the distance between Josh and Devon), each leg of the triangle would have to be at least 8 feet long and the specified 5 1/3 feet is way too short. So the actual triangle created by Josh, Devon, and Marco can't be an isosceles triangle. But the triangle created by Marco and points A and B has to be an isosceles triangle since the distance from Marco to both points A and B is 4 feet. Therefore we can prove that the two triangles are NOT similar. And therefore using the constant ratio between similar sides of the triangles can not apply.

In order to develop a more appealing cheeseburger, a franchise uses taste tests with 9 different buns, 8 different cheeses, 4
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

8,640 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Re-read the question: "How long would it take the test to eat all possible cheeseburgers?"

What are they asking for?

Answer: Total time test all possible burgers

We can break down the answer into a multiplication:

Total time to test all possible burgers =

Time to test each burger x Number of possible burgers

A) Time to test each burger is given - 10 minutes.

B) Number of possible burgers is essentially the total number of combinations of toppings you can have. The order of toppings doesn't matter, so this problem is called a "Combination Problem," as opposed to a "Permutation Problem" which is a problem when order matters.

How do we solve Combination problems?

Just multiply the quantity of each option.

Number of combinations of burger toppings = # bun types x # cheese types x # lettuce types x # tomato types

Number of combinations of burger toppings = 9 x 8 x 4 x 3 = 864

Now plug this into the original equation

Total time to test all possible burgers

= time to test each burger x number of possible burgers

= 10 minutes x 864 possible options

= 8,640 minutes
