Answer with explanation:

To find the quotient and remainder ,using area model, when , 6,986 is divided by 8,we will use rectangles of different Dimensions or a single rectangle in this process.

As,width of rectangle will be same that is equal to 8, and Length will vary as how many rectangles you are drawing.

→One way is :

6986 ÷ 8= 873 = Quotient ,and 2=Remainder

So,we can draw a rectangle , having length = 873 unit and Breadth = 8 unit.

And Remainder = 2 Unit,which will be represented by two smaller rectangles.

→→There are other ways also.

You can draw many rectangles , having different Lengths and width of each rectangle being equal to 8.

For, example :

6986 =4000+ 2986

So, length of one rectangle=4000÷8 = 500 unit and Breadth = 8 unit

Length of another rectangle =2986÷8=373 unit and Breadth =8 unit

Quotient = 500 +373=873

and ,Remainder =2 ,which will be represented by two smaller rectangles.

→Now, using Divisibility rule , which states that,

Dividend = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder

6986=873 × 8 +2

As, quotient=873

remainder =2

Can someone help me with this?

Answer:

Let 'a' be the first term, 'r' be the common ratio and 'n' be the number of terms

Series = 2+6+18.......= 2+2•3¹+ 2•3².......= 728

Now,

Sum =  \frac{a( {r}^{n} - 1) }{(r - 1)}   \\

So,

\frac{a( {r}^{n} - 1)}{(r - 1)}  = 728 \\  \frac{2( {3}^{n} - 1) }{(3 - 1)}  = 728 \\  \frac{2( {3}^{n} - 1) }{2}  = 728 \\  {3}^{n}  - 1 = 728 \\ {3}^{n}=728+1\\ {3}^{n}  = 729 \\  {3}^{n}  =  {3}^{6}  \\ \boxed{ n = 6}

Therefore, number of terms is 6

  • 6 is the right answer.

Answer:

y = 100°

Step-by-step explanation:

x = 40° (vertical angles are congruent)

y is an exterior angel of a triangle that has two opposite internal angles, x (40°) and 60°.

According to the exterior angle of a triangle, thus:

y = 40 + 60

y = 100°
