In both cultures, the basis of their economy was agriculture. But this was very difficult to carry out due to the geographical conditions in which they were. They were located in an area where the climate was very dry, the land was scarce and there was very little water to irrigate those lands. Both Chavin and Nazca solved this by using underground aqueducts to transport water and, therefore, irrigate the crops permanently. Then, the most important reason why they resorted to this mechanism is the lack of water to irrigate the crops.

How did lewis hines work help influence child labor laws

Lewis Hines had a large impact on reforming laws regarding child labor because he was a photographer and he would often photograph pictures of the hardships many families and children were going through during that time.

Kids at that time even worked in coal mines which are very, very dangerous and if I remember right, he was able to get a picture of the children at work, covered in black dust from the coal mines.

His pictures are shocking and once again, like I stated before, child labor is an ongoing problem in other countries.  Its very sad
