True!

Just above the spinal column is the medulla oblongata, and it controls several important automatic tasks. Breathing is one of the most crucial. Rhythmic breathing is regulated, along with variations due to changing body needs, such as running. You do not have to think about breathing faster; the medulla takes care of that for you. Heart rate is another vital function that is centered in this area. The medulla will increase or decrease the beat based on information from other parts of the body. The medulla also determines when blood vessels should constrict to reduce blood flow.

(<em>These are all in my own words! I am in AP English and I write for my school's newspaper, it looks professional because I write a lot.)</em>

<em>------------------</em>

Answer:

<em><u>1a) Parents can control things such as:</u></em>

a. The amount of medical care that their baby receives, such as dental care, vaccinations, doctor's checkups, and things like that.

b. Their baby's diet. Parents can control what their babies eat and drink, whether it be breast milk or apple juice.

c. Their baby's surroundings. Parents could build a nursery, play peaceful music, and bring their baby outside on walks. This is all up to them. They also choose their baby's school and daycare.

<em><u>1b) Parents can not control things such as:</u></em>

a. Birth defects. This is very saddening, but parents cannot control disorders like Type 1 Diabetes or heart/brain conditions. These are genetic and cannot be controlled.

b. The baby's personality. Obviously you can change certain parts about their personality, but if someone is an extrovert or introvert, only time will tell.

<em><u>2a) Developments in the Western World have enhanced our parenting skills:</u></em>

a. The internet! If your baby is sick, we can look up symptoms. If your baby needs diapers, order them online! Need baby formula? Order it online!

b. Medical care has improved greatly, and more and more babies are getting proper medical care.

c. Better safety features like car seats and airbags have made it safer to travel with young children and babies.

<u><em>2b) Developments in the Western World have hindered our parenting skills:</em></u>

a. With more cities growing larger and larger, more people have had to commute to work and work longer hours. So, many babies are being cared for by nannies and daycares instead of their parents.

b. With more technology such as iPads and TV, babies are watching TV instead of spending time socializing with other babies or learning. This is bad, because instead of spending these vital years developing, they are wasting their precious time.

I hope this helps! Feel free to give me Brainliest if you feel this helped. Have a good day, and good luck on your assignment!

Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

Option A) Oxytocin causes the uterus to contract ,further stimulating the receptors that signal the brain to release oxytocin.!

Explanation:

Positive feedback is a mechanism in which the output of a process increases the magnitude of the process which caused that output and this loop continues.

The most common example of the Positive Feedback Mechanism is the child birth. During child birth, the child pushes on the walls of uterus. This stimulates the pressure receptors which send signals to brain to release oxytocin. This oxytocin causes the wall of uterus to contract further, which is again detected by the pressure receptors. This sends signals to the brain again and this process continues in this loop.
