Y= -2x-5
Y=8x+5

^^ those two equations are basically the same so you put them side by side like:

-2x-5=8x+5

Subtract 5 on both sides which leads to:

-2x-10=8x

Add 2x both sides:

-10=10x

Divide both sides by 10

-1=x

How do you do this TwT
tangare [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First step plug the numbers into the equation.

-10/(5+2) = (-10/5) + (-10/2)

Solve both sides of the equation separately.

-10/(5+2) Use distributive property, multiply both 5 and 2 by -10.

= -50 + (-20) = -70

-10/5 + -10/2 Multiply the fractions so they can be added together.

-10/5*2 = -20/10  -10/2*5 = -50/10

-20/10 + -50/10 = -70

Now you have solved both equations and they are both equal to -70, so you have verified that the equations are equal to each other because they both equal -70.

What are the odds of picking a "g" in the word Georgia?
Veseljchak [2.6K]
The probability of any particular event occurring is the number of desired outcomes divided by the total number of outcomes. In this case, the total number of letters you can pick is 7 (g, e, o, r, g, i, a), and the number of times "g" occurs is 2, so the odds of picking a "g" are 2/7.

choli [55]

Answer:

Area of training wheel is 285.74 square inches smaller than bicycle wheel.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A bicycle training wheel has a radius of 3 inches. The bicycle wheel has a radius of 10 inches.

To find : How much is the  the area of the training wheel than the area of the regular wheel?

Solution :

→A bicycle training wheel has a radius of 3 inches.

Area of of the training wheel is A=\pi r^2

where r is the radius and r=3 inches (given), \pi =3.14

A_1=\pi r^2

A_1=(3.14) (3)^2

A_1=3.14\times9

A_1=28.26 inches^2

Area of the bicycle training is 28.26 square inches.

→ The bicycle wheel has a radius of 10 inches.

Area of of the bicycle wheel is A=\pi r^2

where r is the radius and r=10 inches (given), \pi =3.14

A_2=\pi r^2

A_2=(3.14) (10)^2

A_2=3.14\times100

A_2=314 inches^2

Area of the bicycle wheel is 314 square inches.

The area of the training wheel than the area of the regular wheel is

Area=314-28.26=285.74

Rounded to nearest hundredth the area is 285.74 square inches.

Therefore, Area of training wheel is 285.74 square inches smaller than bicycle wheel.
