The main function of white blood cells is to protect the body from foreign invaders and prevent infection by synthesizing antibodies. They are produced in the bone marrow. There are different types of white blood cells, all with a specific job: Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Monocytes, Eosinophils, and Basophils.
