Answer:

The heat is  H= -8.044KJ

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The pressure is  P = 1 \ atm

    The boiling point is  B_P  = 34^oC

     The heat of vaporization at 34°C is  = 26.5 kJ/mol

       The specific heat of the liquid is c_p = 2.32 J/g^oC

      The  mass is  m = 22.5g

  The no of moles of the sample of C_2 H_5OC_2H_5  is given as

               No \ mole (n)  = \frac{Mass \ of  \ sample }{Molar \ mass }

    The  Molar mass for C_2 H_5OC_2H_5  is a value = = 74.12 g/mol

Substituting the value into the above equation

          n  = \frac{22.5}{74.12}

                           = 0.30356 \ mol

      The heat H is mathematically as

                H  =- nH_{vap}

The negative sign show that the heat is for condensing

            H = 0.30356 * 26.5 *10^{3} J/mol

                H= -8.044KJ

Explain why a potassium ion is larger than a calcium ion.
VMariaS [17]

Answer:

One other factor is the number of electrons removed. The potassium atom has one electron removed to for the corresponding ion, while calcium loses two electrons. The addition of electrons always results in an anion that is larger than the parent atom.

Based on the balanced equation below, what is the mole ratio of HCl to VOC13?
Novay_Z [31]

Answer:

6 HCl to 2 VOCl3

Explanation:

The coeffcients in front of the elements, represent moles. Therefore because the equation is balanced, you would evaluate your answer of the mole based off of what the question is asking. The question asked about the mole ratio of the two elements HCl to VOCL3. There is a number 6 in front of HCl which means that there are 6 moles of HCl, and there is a 2 in front of VOCL3 which means that there are 2 moles of VOCL3.

Therefore the correct answer will be 6 HCl to 2 VOCL3

Which of these ingredients is important in making plastics?
Goryan [66]

Answer:

he main ingredient in most plastic material is a derivative from crude oil and natural gas. There are many different types of plastics – clear, cloudy, solid colour, flexible, rigid, soft, etc. Plastic products are often a polymer resin which is then then mixed with a blend of additives (See polymer vs. plastic).

~+lil more info +~

Plastics are made from natural materials such as cellulose, coal, natural gas, salt and crude oil through a polymerisation or polycondensation process. Plastics are derived from natural, organic materials such as cellulose, coal, natural gas, salt and, of course, crude oil.
