Senior believes one of the greatest shifts over time has been the role of child. Discuss what this means and how it has impacted
Marina CMI [18]
Here's how I see it. For a long time throughout many generations, women and kids didn't have rights. It was always the man of the house who brought home the bacon and controlled the house. Slowly but surely women started to get rights (like voting, being able to do more jobs and generally more things, and even though there is still a wage gap they got payed more over time), but kids didn't start having a voice until, let's say, until 3 generations ago. With advances in technology, kids started to have more of a voice and more of a role in general. A long time ago kids were factory workers as well, which is kinda out of place to put here but I just remembered so the more you know I guess. Anyways, kids started getting more educated, getting more legal rights, and with technology, much more of a voice. Kids are on social media now, child actors (like Millie Bobby Brown) are fighting for women's rights and are helping to fund charities. Kids can create youtube channels, they can create Instagram accounts, they can do anything with technological advancements today. Kids can do basically anything adults can. My mom, who is a baby boomer, talked about the fact that when she was a kid, kids were to be seen, not to be heard. Kids weren't really acknowledged by adults and were often disregarded as idiots until they became legal adults, but now a 13 year-old could have an intellectual conversation about politics with a 50 year old. So, to answer your question, yes, the role of a child has been one of the greatest shifts over time. The way it effects families can be for the better or for worse. I think it's mostly for the better. Kids can speak out now, they can learn more and do more. They have the ability to become an adults as a child, if that makes any sense. Kids are evolving now and will be for forever. I think that because kids have a voice now more than ever, it's a good thing. Kids should be smart and should be heard, and the fact that some kids are able to invent things or challenge adults to trying new things or having intellectual conversations is amazing!!! I hope this helped, sorry that this question is 2 weeks old, brainy just suggested it to me. Good luck with school!

Prewriting strategies for autobiographical writing help you find and narrow topics based on _____.
lozanna [386]

Answer:

Personal experiences and memory of the author.

Explanation:

Prewriting is the germinal phase of the writing process. It includes five basic strategies which are also called "brainstorming strategies" which include listing, clustering, freewriting, looping and asking the journalists which may be based on several topics like illustrations, statistics, literature, etc. But prewriting strategies for autobiographical writing is often associated with the author's personal experiences and memory. It helps him/her exemplify their perceptions or viewpoint to the readers. An autobiographical prewriting focuses on the gathering and arranging the information of the major events and happenings of the author's life and its consequences to present it to the readers in a more relative and effective manner.

50 POINTS AND BRAINLIEST!!!!!!!!!!
MAXImum [283]

Answer:

hey there,

*You never provided a passage set, so I will just write what I think about this, personally, and I cannot include any evidence from sources, since you didn't give any here.

Also, it says "no plagiarism, I will know" so please don't copy this exactly but instead use the ideas I have provided in what I wrote.*

I think that having competitive team sports in high schools is a good thing. Competitive team sports have shown for a long time to be good for students. First, high schoolers will be able to experience what it's like to be on a team and get to socialize or make new friends. Second, students get to compete for awards and pride from their school, which makes a lot of kids happy. Last, sports provide a lot of exercises which is very important during your teenage years.

Being on a team is something to cherish for a long time. A lot of students already have many great friends, but there is always space for new people to add to your life. Talking to people is proven to make you happier and sometimes even do better in school. Losing or winning together as a team is much funner than alone. Practicing together daily or weekly lets you spend more time with them. Even hanging out outside of school will be a memory you will never forget.

Continuing on, competing is something kids have always loved. Whether it is a beauty pageant or a baseball game, winning always makes you feel good. Some kids have rows of medals and trophies in their rooms, and winning more with their team in high school will add to their collection. Years later, high school students will look back and see the memories brought from each trophy and remember each game, including how they won, and what made them happy. The school they go to will add their trophies and hang up posters, sometimes, to show respect for the winner of games.

Lastly, playing sports is something that should always be done. The more you do sports, the better you feel in general. Developing healthy habits at a young age is extremely important. It's much more exciting to get your physical education while doing something you love. Doing a quick stretch or a few jumping jacks before every game will get your body moving and your heart racing. It has been proven to help with mental problems of teenagers and helps students do better in school.

To sum up, doing competitive sports in high school is something that should always be done because of the great benefits you get like being on a team, winning medals, and getting good exercise. Those were my reasons why all high schools should be providing competitive team sports.
