This is a right triangle, so you can use trigonometric ratios to solve for angle x.

There are three sides to a triangle, and each has a different relationship to angle x.

The hypotenuse is 23. The opposite side is 17. We don't have a value for the adjacent side.

Remember SOH (sin=opp/hyp) CAH (cos=adj/hyp) TOA(tan=opp/adj):

We have values for the opposite side, and the hypotenuse, so we can write:

sin(x) = 17/23

to reverse the sine function, take the arcsine of both sides:

x = arcsin(17/23)

Put this into your calculator (make SURE your mode is degrees, not radians) and round to the nearest whole degree.

Evaluate the expression for x = 2 and y = 4. Enter your answer in the box.<br><br> 16x0 + 2x2 • y –1
swat32

Given that,

The given expression is : 16x^0+2x^2{\cdot}y^{-1}

To find,

The value of the above expression when x = 2 and y = 4

Solution,

We have,

16x^0+2x^2{\cdot}y^{-1}

Put x = 2 and y = 4 in the above expression.

16x^0+2x^2{\cdot}y^{-1}\\\\=16\times (2)^0+2(2)^2\times (4)^{-1}\\\\=16\times 1+2(2)^2\times\dfrac{1}{4}\\\\=16+2\\\\=18

So, the value of the above expression is 18.

15x+5y=30 with y by itself
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

15 x 1 + 5 x 3 = 30

Step-by-step explanation:

If you turn the x into a one then it multiplies 15 by one and then it remains at 15, then you multiply 5 and 3 so that's 15 and then 15 + 15 is 30.
