Due to the increasing temperature in ocean it is more advantageous for start fishes to reproduce asexually because they can regenerate via a process called fragmentation.

In fragmentation, a part of arm or a part of disc is separated from the parent body and grows into a complete new organism; an individual star fish.

Moreover, regeneration is the ability of an organism to renew, or re-grow any part of the body, makes it resilient to environmental fluctuations.

_____ communicate information in the opposite direction, from the brain and nervous system to muscles and glands.
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

The correct answer would be efferent neurons.

Efferent neurons are the motor neurons which communicate information in the opposite direction as compared to the afferent neurons, that is, they communicate information or response impulses from the brain or central nervous system to the muscles or glands.

The response impulses results in the movement of the muscles or activation/deactivation of certain gland

In contrast, afferent neurons are the sensory neurons which carry impulses from the receptors to the central nervous system.

Marianna [84]

Answer:

a. are acid participants in, or by-products of, cellular metabolism

Explanation:

cellular metabolism is the process in which several chemical recation stakes place in body. there aretwo type of cellular metabolism - catabolism and anabolsim, which serves for several body functions.

During the chemical reaction of cellular metabolism, many acids are produced which are called metabolic acids. Several metabolic pathways produces different acids such as carboxylic acid, citric acid and amino acid. All the metabolic acid maintains body's functional activities,if any case acid formation increases it causes metabloic acidosis.

Hence, the correct option is a. "Metabolic acids are the acid participants of celular metablosim".

Suppose that the same island experiences environmental conditions that prevent the growth of large seeds. What do you think woul
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

would be smaller

Explanation:

During his work, Darwin observed that the size and shape of finches' beaks varied between islands as a consequence of the food type and food availability in each island. Darwin proposed that this phenotypic variation was a response to natural selection, i.e., those organisms with more suitable beaks in their corresponding environments (i.e., islands) would be better adapted to survive and reproduce, thereby passing their genes to the next generations. In consequence, in this case, it is expected that the average size of finch beaks will be smaller because environmental factors prevent the growth of large seeds.
