Amniotic cavity is the term used for the sac which protects an embryo from internal and external pressures. It contains the amniotic fluid which serves as the cushion for guarding the developing embryo and the system to which it is being fed on. It is a crucial part of pregnancy to be able to take tests in diagnosing the fetus for possible defects and abnormalities and one of the methods used is the amniocentesis wherein samples of the amniotic fluid are sampled.

Process that takes place at mid-ocean ridges
leva [86]

Answer;

-Sea-floor spreading

Sea floor spreading is process that takes place at mid-ocean ridges, evidence is found in magnetic minerals on the ocean floor.

Explanation;

-Seafloor spreading is a geologic process in which tectonic plates; large slabs of Earth's lithosphere; split apart from each other.

-Seafloor spreading and other tectonic activity processes are the result of mantle convection. Mantle convection is the slow, churning motion of Earth’s mantle. Seafloor spreading occurs at divergent plate boundaries. As tectonic plates slowly move away from each other, heat from the mantle’s convection currents makes the crust more plastic and less dense.

Small amounts of hormones have large effects on an organism's physiology because the signals are amplified between glands and ti
laila [671]

Answer: True,

Small amounts of hormones have large effects on an organism because the signals are amplified between glands and tissues due to the second messenger systems.

explanation:

Second messemgers are the intracellular molecules which are activated by the extracellular molecules. Second messengers intracellulary triggers physiological changes such as proliferation differentiation migration etc.

When hormones are released they bind to specific receptors such as G-coupled recptors,tyrosine recpetor which when activated further activates second messengers such as cAMP and STAT respectively.

These second messengers amplify the hormone secretion and production by phosphorylation and increasing transcription.

Hence this is true that second messnegers amplify the hormones and their physiological results.

Animals that live on intertidal rocks often exhibit compressed or dorsally flattened bodies. this is an adadptation that protect
Serhud [2]

Answer:

d. wave shock

Explanation:

An adaptation can be defined as a phenotypic trait that makes an organism and/or species better suited to its environment, thereby this organism/species will have more chances to survive and reproduce in such conditions. Rock-dwelling aquatic animals have different ecological, morphological and behavioral adaptations to survive in this type of environment. In this regard, it is well-known that these organisms show dorsally flattened bodies, since it is one fundamental morphological adaptation which helps them to dissipate the force of the waves.

Why do farmers plough their field during summer?
Klio2033 [76]
Consequently plant roots will get more moisture with less effort. It also improves soil structure due to alternate drying and cooling and soil aeration which helps in multiplication of micro-organisms. This is the reason that farmers plough their field during summer.

Hope this helps!
