Instead we use units like centimeters for volume while we use pounds or kilograms for weight. In terms of time, I have no idea how the unit meters would be useful for that. Example for time units include: seconds, minutes, hours, and days. However, we do say this ruler is x amount of meters. As such, length and distance is the only logical answer.
