The leaders of this area have previously suggested a deadline, where they would have time to leave the mentioned city. On that date, group of people that consisted of police, people that were in business and politicians attacked the Chinese population. They were forced to leave the city via train and move to Portland. In the next days, everything they used to built, was destroyed.

The stamp act was the first interal tax levied directly american colonist by the british goverement. The tea act was that the colonist had never accepted the constitionability of the duty of tea, and the tea act rekindled their opposition to it.
