William Penn wanted the Pennsylvania colony for the Quakers. The Quakers are known to be part of a historical Christian cluster back in the day, wherein it is part of a religious movements, which is known as the Religious Society of Friends, or it can be referred to as Friends Church.
Penn was the founder of the province of Pennsylvania, a colony of the United Kingdom that later would become the homonymous American state. The democratic principles he implemented in the colony served as a source of inspiration for the American Constitution.
