Answer:

Time heals all wounds.

Explanation:

The passage depicts the revolutionary phases of Tam's life reaching from despair to utter joy and happiness. The passage begins with Tam's happy life with her father which lands in threat and when her father remarried and brought her stepmother who was very cruel to her and oppressed her brutally. She's been left to a mere maidservant of the house and she began to live an isolated life. But her life changes when the beautiful woman appeared and gave her a reason to be happy and smile. Why does Gothic literature focus on the past? What effect does this have?
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

The term Gothic originates with the architecture created by the Germanic Goth tribes that was later expanded to include most medieval architecture. Ornate, intricate, and heavy-handed, this style of architecture proved to be the ideal backdrop for both the physical and the psychological settings in a new literary genre, one that concerned itself with elaborate tales of mystery, suspense, and superstition. While there are several notable precursors, the height of the Gothic period, which was closely aligned with Romanticism, is usually considered to have been the years 1764 to about 1840, however, its influence extends to 20th-century authors such as V.C. Andrews, Iain Banks, and Anne Rice.

Direct Characterization is when the author describes the character's physical traits.
Blizzard [7]
True because Direct characterization, or explicit characterization, describes the character through their physical description, line of work, or passions and pursuits. Indirect characterization describes a character through their thoughts, actions, speech, and dialogue

Reread “In Flanders Fields” and “Dulce et Decorum Est.” How are these two poems similar in their views of World War I? How are t
Tju [1.3M]
Both authors of "In Flanders Fields" and "Dulce et Decorum Est!" chose the same historical event as the setting but these books shows the World War 1 from two absolutely different points of view. "In Flanders Fields" author praises and blesses all those warriors who protected  their native land fighted for it and its future generations. While reading this story you feel persuasive tone that aimed to make you feel the same. "Dulce et Decorum Est!" shows the most appalling  things that happened during the War and urges us that if we had ever been through It all it would have been the worst nightmare in our life. To conclude : in the first story author eulogizes War whereas the second warns against it.
