Answer:

Time heals all wounds.

Explanation:

The passage depicts the revolutionary phases of Tam's life reaching from despair to utter joy and happiness. The passage begins with Tam's happy life with her father which lands in threat and when her father remarried and brought her stepmother who was very cruel to her and oppressed her brutally. Her father's attention too diverted towards the Cam(his daughter from the second marriage) and gradually he could also not show love and care for Tam. She's been left to a mere maidservant of the house and she began to live an isolated life. But her life changes when the beautiful woman appeared and gave her a reason to be happy and smile. We witness towards the end, Tam visits the festival and her shoes provided to her by the beautiful women fascinated the Prince and later married her. She became the queen and took revenge over her family members. Thus, the story illustrates the time healing the wounds of Tam.

Answer: A)- The reader doesn't expect to learn that Easton is the counterfeiter.

Explanation:

When Miss Fairchild recognizes Mr. Easton as one of the two men handcuffed to each other on the train, she, and the reader, are led to believe that Mr. Easton is a United States marshall on his way to take the man he´s handcuffed to into prison. However, when Mr. Easton and his companion leave, two passengers talk about the conversation that had taken place with Miss Fairchild. Based on how Mr. Easton and his companion were handcuffed, they come to the conclusion that Mr. Easton was actually the prisoner and not the Marshall.

Rasheed accidentally bumped his leg on a
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

Rasheed's entire nervous system most likely screamed out in pain.

Explanation:

The nervous system sends out a sort of signal whenever something either hurts you, such as kicking a wall or bumping your head on the ceiling. That signal, thanks to the nervous system, gets sent to your brain that tells it that something is in pain. Once the brain receives that message, it'll let you react based on how you feel about it.

So, in this case, Rasheed just let out a yelp whenever he hit that desk with his leg. Ouch.
