The passage depicts the revolutionary phases of Tam's life reaching from despair to utter joy and happiness. The passage begins with Tam's happy life with her father which lands in threat and when her father remarried and brought her stepmother who was very cruel to her and oppressed her brutally. Her father's attention too diverted towards the Cam(his daughter from the second marriage) and gradually he could also not show love and care for Tam. She's been left to a mere maidservant of the house and she began to live an isolated life. But her life changes when the beautiful woman appeared and gave her a reason to be happy and smile. We witness towards the end, Tam visits the festival and her shoes provided to her by the beautiful women fascinated the Prince and later married her. She became the queen and took revenge over her family members. Thus, the story illustrates the time healing the wounds of Tam.
