This kinda sounds like system of equations to me. Let's use some variables. 'x' would be the fee for the regular selections. 'y' would be the fee for the discounted selections. Let's start making our equations :O. Here's Pat's order: 2x+4y=119.80. Here's Carlos' order: 3x+5y=160.75. Now, there are different ways of solving these variables such as using substitution, but I will use linear combinations method/elimination method to solve this. I will try to make one variable value the opposite of the other equation's variable. I can get 6x+10y=321.50 and -6x-12y=-359.4. I can eliminate the x now and only have variable y. -2y=-37.9. Dividing both sides gets me y=18.95. I can substitute the y value for y in any equation. so 2x+4(18.95)=119.80. 2x+75.8=119.80. 2x=44. 2x/2=44/2. x=22. Therefore, the fee for regular selections is 22 while the fee for discounted selections is 18.95. Hope you enjoyed this session of learning :3

Hey puddin could ya help me !?- What is the length of segment AB?
ycow [4]

Answer:

AB = 4\sqrt{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate AB using the distance formula

d = √ (x₂ - x₁ )² + (y₂ - y₁ )²

with (x₁, y₁ ) = A(6, 2) and (x₂, y₂ ) = B(0, 10)

AB = \sqrt{(0-6)^2+(10-2)^2}

     = \sqrt{4^2+8^2}

    = \sqrt{16+64}

    = \sqrt{80} = 4\sqrt{5} ← exact length

julsineya [31]

Answer:

the probability that the ball falls into a redred slot is 0.4996

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is not correct right question is:

A carnival roulette wheel contains 2224 slots numbered 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, ..., 2222. 1111 of the slots numbered 1 through 2222 are colored red, and 1111 are colored black. The 00 and 0 slots are uncolored. The wheel is spun, and a ball is rolled around the rim until it falls into a slot. What is the probability that the ball falls into a redred slot?

Given that:

The carnival roulette wheel has 2224 slots numbered 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, ..., 2222.

1111 of the slots are colored red while 1111 of the slots are uncolored. The remaining slots 00 and 0 are uncolored.

Therefore, the total number of possible outcome is 2224. Probability is the ratio of number desired outcome to total number of possible outcome.

For, the probability that the ball falls into a redred slot, the desired outcome is 1111(i.e number of red slot)

Therefore, the probability that the ball falls into a redred slot = 1111/2224 = 0.4996
