Using elimination: add equation 1 and equation 3 to eliminate z
<span>x+4y-5z=-7
2x+y+5z=8</span>
will result to
3x + 5y = 1

Using eqution 2 and 1.
<span>3( x+4y-5z=-7) >> 3x +12y – 15z = -21</span>
<span>5(3x+2y+3z=7) >> 15x + 10y + 15z = 35</span>
Add the two equation, to eliminate z
18x + 22y = 14

Solving x and y from the generated equation
X = 2
Y = -1   T
hen substitute x and y yo any equation and solve for z
Z = 1   <span> </span>

In your Pre-Calc class 60% of the students have brown hair, 30% have brown eyes and 10% have both brown hair and brown eyes. A s
maria [59]

Probability of the students having brown hair =  0.6

Probability of the students having brown eyes = 0.3

Probability of the students having both brown hair and brown eyes = 0.1

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 :

Given,

Percentage of the students having brown hair = 60%

Percentage of the students having brown eyes = 30%

Percentage of the students having both brown hair and brown eyes = 10%

We need to obtain the probability of each separately, when a student is chosen randomly

Step 2 :

The probability of each event happening given its percentage, can be obtained by dividing the corresponding percentage by 100.

Hence we have,

Probability of the students who have brown hair =  \frac{60}{100} = 0.6

Probability of the students who have brown eyes = \frac{30}{100} = 0.3

Probability of the students who has both brown hair and  eyes = \frac{10}{100} = 0.1

Step 3 :

Answer :

Probability of the students who have brown hair =  0.6

Probability of the students  who have brown eyes = 0.3

Probability of the students  who has both brown hair and  eyes = 0.1

BRAINLIEST, 5 STARS, 50 POINTS AND THANKS IF ANSWERED CORRECTLY.
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

(1)

x² + 4 = 0 ( subtract 4 from both sides )

x² = - 4 ( take the square root of both sides )

x = ± \sqrt{-4} = ± 2i ← complex solutions

(2)

x² - 81 = 0 ( add 81 to both sides )

x² = 81 ( take the square root of both sides )

x = ± \sqrt{81} = ± 9 ← real solutions
