I would say that the reason why it's important to keep a proper structure is that (answer D) this gives a first impression of the applicant. It send a message of "the applicant knows how to adhere to rules and standards" - which by itself is actually an important skill needed for many jobs

Well, using my limited knowledge, "cleaving" means to chop, break in half, split, etc. Twain means twice. So, perhaps it's like "you've broke my heart in half", something along those lines? hopefully this helps you.
