How did Martin Luther's efforts lead to the end of Christian unity in Europe and the beginning of Protestantism? Make sure to gi
mixer [17]

Martin Luther's efforts to reform the Roman Catholic Church led to the greatest religious schism ever seen in Europe.

The Catholic Church's inadequate response to Luther's very fair critiques led other groups to speak out and write, causing ideas and critiques to spread.

This led to the rise of Calvin and  Zwingli in Switzerland and the rise of British reform efforts which eventually led to the seizure of the monasteries and the establishment of the Anglican Church.
