1. .8 is greater than .7. or. .7 is less than .8.
Why? .8 is .1 higher than .7. .7 + .1 = .8, so the greater than would be placed facing the .8.
2. .8 is less than 7. or. 7. is greater than .8.
Why? You see where the decimal is placed at? It is placed after the 7 which makes the 7. a whole number. While .8 is still a decimal, 7. is way higher than .8 because of where the decimal is at.
