<span>Martin Luther King, Jr. believes that gadflies are needed in society because they are effective agents of change.  They are the ones who have what it takes to bring important issues to the attention of the public.  They have the talent for speech and courage to voice out important issues to the public and it is through their persistent keeps important issues alive in society.  They encourage people to be more involve and when that happens there can be a chance to implement real change.</span>
