Now that you have learned about life in pastoral societies, you will be writing a short narrative imagining yourself as a member
Afina-wow [57]
<span>#1) Although your story should fit with what you have learned about pastoral societies, you can also be creative?

Answer: Pastoral societies are very well known for their type of lifestyle in the vast rangelands. This societies are economically self-sufficient. Their work goes from protecting land tenure rights, selling animals and animal products, and also developing channels and systems to make trade easier. They also hunt, fish, breed their livestock and herds, and engage in vegetable farming. There are two types of pastoralism which are: Nomadism and Transhumance. Their difference is their lifestyles regarding how they live and how often they migrate. For example pastoral nomads follow a seasonal migratory pattern that can vary from year to year. This is determined by the needs of their herd for water and fodder (food). On the other hand Transhumance pastoralist follow a cyclical pattern of migration and migrate between the same two places, allowing them to have stable villages. They have permanent houses at both locations.
