The red car went 408 miles in 6 hours. The blue car went 365 miles in 5 hours. Which car had the fastest average speed?

408 divided by 6 = 68
365 divided by 5 = 73

An average is the sum of all numbers (In this case its the miles) then divide by how many numbers there are (408 is one number)
So in this case we just divide 408 by 6

Judging by the way the pattern goes,
1+3=4
4+5=9
9+7=16
16+9=25
25+11=36

Then the next 3 numbers would be: 
36+13= 49
49+15=64
64+17=81

The next three numbers are 49, 64 and 81

The pattern is adding 2 to each number. So 3 is added to 1 to make 4. The next number added to 4 would be 5, so on so forth.
