Answer:

B. When Waverly thinks Santa is trying to trick her by asking her age.

Explanation:

This is the example that best illustrates how confusion can arise for individuals that live in two different cultures. Waverly, as the daughter of Chinese immigrants, is heir to two different cultures. On the one hand, she lives in a Chinese environment at home. However, she is also an American when she is out. This is evident when Waverly believes Santa is tricking her by asking her age.

Dogs, I believe are an essential part of a human's life. They can bring comfort, protection, happiness into one's life. They can be used for jobs. What kind of jobs you're asking yourself, well you've asking the wrong person. Ask me instead, they can be used as a service dog, they can get the sheep together, they can even be provided for therapy. Taking care of a dog is a HUGE responsibility and should be taken very seriously. They need to be fed the right type of food. Depending on what type of breed they are of course. They need to be taken on walks, taken to the vet for a check out, cut their nails. They're basically your friend, but better.

True or False: Making connections in research is an excellent way to illuminate the meaning of a subject.
zhuklara [117]

1. <u>I would say this is true,</u> making connections is an excellent way to help people understand the meaning of a subject.  Especially if you connect something hard to understand with something that is easier to understand.

2. <u>The answer for this question would be D.</u>  If you are looking to understand all perspectives on a topic, you would want to explore opinions from people who both support the topic in addition to people who oppose, as well.  This will guarantee that when you write about a topic. you are not biased to one opinion more than another.   You have to do your research equally.

3.<u> My answer for this question would be A. Theme.</u>  The theme of a story is the known as the underlying message or "big idea".  I chose A for this question by taking notice of key words from the question such as "<em>main point</em>" and "<em>statement</em>".  Only in the theme of a story will you find the story's statement.
