Answer:

Given: Two line segments AB and CD bisect each other at point O.

To prove: ∆ AC D≅ ∆ B DC

Construction:Join AC, AD ,BC and B D.Quadrilateral ABCD is formed.

Proof:  In Quadrilateral ACBD,

Point of intersection of AB and CD is O.

also, A O=O B and CO=OD

As AB and CD are diagonals of quadrilateral A BC D, and they bisect each other .

∴Δ A O C≅ Δ B OD→  [SA S]∴{∠AOC=∠BOD,AO=OB,CO=OD}

Similarly,  Δ A O D≅ Δ B O C→  [SA S]∴{∠AOD=∠BOC ,AO=OB,CO=OD}

AC=BD,∠ACD=∠BDC,→ [ CPCT ]

AD=BC,∠ADC=∠B CD→ [ C P CT ]

But ∠A CD and ∠B DC, ∠ADC and ∠B CD are alternate angles of Quadrilateral AC B D.

⇒AC║B D and AD║BC [If alternate angles are equal then lines are parallel]

∴ Quadrilateral A C B D is a parallelogram.→If in a quadrilateral opposite sides are equal and parallel it is a parallelogram]

In Δ A CD and Δ B DC

AC = B D  [proved above]

AD= B C  [proved above]

C D=C D  [common]

∆A CD ≅ ∆B DC [ SSS] S→Side

Hence proved.

∆A CD ≅ ∆B DC [ Diagonal of a parallelogram divides it into two congruent triangles]

A 7-digit telephone number has the form abc - xxxx, where x, b, and c can be any digit 1 - 9 and a is restricted to 3 - 9. how m
9966 [12]

The total 7-digit telephone numbers has the form abc-xxxx which are possible are 3,720,087

It is given that,

A 7-digit telephone number has the form = abc - xxxx

Also, x, b, c can have any digit between 1-9

And, a is restricted to between 3-9

We need to find the possible number of combinations of a 7-digit telephone number having the form abc-xxxx

Then, number of digits that can be placed at the place of 'a' = 7 type of digits (3 to 9)

Number of digits that can be placed at the place of x, b and c= 9 type of digits (1 to 9)

Suppose, we put a number from 3 to 9 at 'a', so total possibilities are 7

Similarly, at 'b' we put a number from 1-9, so total possibilities are 9 and so on so forth

Thus total 7-digit telephone numbers which have the possible combinations can be

= 7*9*9*9*9*9*9

= 3,720,087

Write an eqution to the table.
y x
3 1
1.5 2
1 3
hram777 [196]

Answer:

f(x)=0.5x^2-3x+5.5

Step-by-step explanation:

We can see by some observation that this is not linear because the slopes aren't constant.

So, let's see if it's quadratic. Suppose that it is and the function we want to find is: f(x)=ax^2+bx+c

Plug in some of the given values into the equation:

3 = a + b + c               ------------ eq 1

1 = 9a + 3b + c           ------------ eq 2

1.5 = 4a + 2b + c        ------------ eq 3

Let's multiply eq 3 by 2 and then subtract it from equation 2:

   1 =  9a + 3b + c

-  3 = 8a + 4b + 2c

----------------------------

  -2 = a - b - c

Now, add this equation to eq 1:

   -2 = a - b - c

+   3 = a + b + c

-----------------------

    1 = 2a

    a = 1/2 = 0.5

Now, plug this value of a back into both eq 3 and eq 1:

Eq 3: 1.5 = 4 * 0.5 + 2b + c  ⇒  1.5 = 2 + 2b + c  ⇒  -0.5 = 2b + c     ----- eq 5

Eq 1: 3 = 0.5 + b + c  ⇒  b + c = 2.5   ------ eq 4

So, we have a system of linear equations. Subtract eq 4 from eq 5:

    2b + c = -0.5

-      b + c = 2.5

-------------------------

      b = -3

Substitute this value of b into b + c = 2.5 and solve for c:

-3 + c = 2.5

c = 5.5

So, a = 0.5, b = -3, and c = 5.5. Now, our equation is:

f(x)=0.5x^2-3x+5.5

Hope this helps!

An 8-pound bag of apples costs $17.50. What is the unit price?
Vesnalui [34]
8 pound bag full of apples = $17.50

The unit price is the amount we need to pay per bag.

Now, we need to set up a proportion.

8/17.50 = 1/x

Cross multiply.

8*x = 8x
17.50 * 1 = 17.50

8x = 17.5

Divide

8x/8 = 17.5/8
x= 17.5/8

x= 2.18

2.18 dollars per pound.
