On the second question. You have to first use the distribute property to both the -3 and -4. And then use the inverse operation of +12 and change it into an -12 on both sides . When you do this it cancles out the 12 on the side with the x . To get x by its self on one side of the equation. And then you subtract the -12 on the other side of the equation to get 54. Finnally you divide 54/9 to get x by its self . To see that x<6
