When electrons move along the electron transport chain they undergo a series of redox reaction

Explanation

The electron transport chain is a portion of aerobic respiration that utilizes oxygen as the last electron acceptor of the electrons removed in glucose catabolism. The electrons go through  a series of redox reactions and releases energy that  is used at three points to transport hydrogen ions across a membrane.
