Answer:

Jeyden will need 128 square feet of cardboard.

Step-by-step explanation:

Notice that you need to calculate the area of the figure. Now, the figure is formed by four equal rectangles and two equal squares. If you are not convinced of this fact, just check the shape of any box.

So, in order to calculate the total area A, we only need to calculate the area of  one rectangle A_r and the area of one of the squares A_s. Because of the deductions of the above paragraph

A= 4A_r + 2A_s.

From the figure we already know that the length of the rectangles is 6 ft. Also, notice that the height of the rectangles is given: 4ft. Then, A_r = 6\times 4 =24 square feet. Now, the squares have length 4 ft, so A_s =4^ 2=16 square feet.

Thus,

A= 4A_r + 2A_s = 4\times 24+2\times 16 = 96 + 32=128 square feet.

If the domain of the square root function f(x) is x
soldier1979 [14.2K]
<span>This question, in my opinion, is not well stated. If f(x) = √x, as the question statement seems to say, then the domain is not x<7. Rather, the domain is x≥0. If f(x) is not the square root function, but say f(x) = √(7-x) then the domain is x≤7, and for this function then the appropriate answer is d), since the x-term inside the radical has a negative coefficient.</span>

In B E C, F is the centroid, and AC = 12. Find A F and F C
klemol [59]

bearing in mind that the centroid in a triangle cuts each of the three medians in a 2:1 ratio.

since we know that A C = 12, let's split it in a 2:1 ratio then, cleary from the picture the larger is F C, so F C : A F is on a 2:1 ratio.

\bf A C=A F+F C\qquad \qquad \cfrac{F C}{A F}=\cfrac{2}{1}\qquad \qquad \cfrac{2\cdot \frac{12}{2+1}}{1\cdot \frac{12}{2+1}}\implies \cfrac{2\cdot 4}{1\cdot 4}\implies \cfrac{8}{4}
