26% of the DNA molecule will be adenine because, cytosine is always paired with guanine. Because of this, there will be equal parts of cytosine and guanine. In total, 48% of the DNA molecule will be either cytosine or guanine. If 48% of the molecule is cytosine or guanine, then 52% of it will be either adenine or thymine (which are also only ever paired with each other). Therefore, you divide 52 in half - because there will be equal parts of adenine and thymine - and get 26% of each.

How does mutation produce genetic variation?
vichka [17]
My Answer: Mutations produces random changes in an organisms genetic code. Some examples of the changes are: None of the mutations may have a positive, negative nor neutral effect on the organism. A different organism may be produced. Mutations help organisms better, so that they're able to survive, if mutations do that it is more likely that the organism will survive and pass the mutated gene onto the next generation.

Hope I helped! :D

Evgesh-ka [11]
The question is asking us to fill in the gaps in the following sentence: When a person loses consciousness due to a head injury from a car crash, the (gap) keeps the body functioning by regulating the flow of information between the brain and the rest of the body. The best answer is that the gap should be filled by "autonomous nervous system" - this system is the one that is not controlled consciously, but one that is working in the background to make sure our body functions work properly.
