When someone claims to be children of someone, inheritance pattern can be used to prove whether it is possible or not. Dominant trait (like cleft chin) will always be expressed so it cannot appear from a parent without the trait.
If the father and mother don't have a cleft chin, it would be impossible to have a child with a cleft chin. That way, the claim can be considered as impossible/false.

All embryos appear female during early development.
a. True
b. False
guapka [62]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Geneticists have discovered that all human embryos start life as females. In the early development in the embryonic stage, this is true both for humans and mammals. This changes only at the 2nd month (in the case of humans, since different mammals have different gestating periods) if the embryo can elaborate enough androgens (dominant male hormone) to offset the maternal estrogens (dominant female hormone) then, maleness develops.

If a single base pair gets damaged and goes missing from an rna, what would most likely happen?
Vilka [71]

A frame-shift mutation would occur. This is because a deletion will cause a change in codon sequence from the point of mutation to the end of the mRNA. If the mutation is closer to the start of the mRNA, the larger the effect of the mutation on the translated protein.

In metaphase where do sister chromatids go?
Setler [38]

Answer:

Long protein filaments called kinetochore microtubules extended from poles on either end of the cell and attached to the kinetochores. During metaphase, the kinetochore microtubules pull the sister chromatids back and forth until they align along the equator of the cell, called the equatorial plane.
